We’re delighted to announce that Simba is extending its partnership with EveryYouth to support young people on Project Flourish as they enter employment and move into independent living.
Securing a job is a life-changing milestone for a young person experiencing homelessness, but starting work is often the beginning. Many are also moving into independent living, managing their finances for the first time and rebuilding confidence after experiencing trauma.
At EveryYouth, we understand the importance of providing wraparound support to young people so they can build independent, sustainable futures. Project Flourish, a pioneering employability programme, delivered in collaboration with Hays, creates meaningful employment opportunities by combing tailored specialist coaching, financial support and ongoing in-work guidance.
Today, we’re delighted to announce that our long-standing partner, Simba, is expanding its support for EveryYouth. Every young person who moves into independent accommodation through Project Flourish will now receive a Simba mattress, helping to ease one of the significant financial pressures the comes with setting up a first home.
A good night’s sleep is fundamental to wellbeing, self-confidence and sustaining employment. Since the start of the partnership between EveryYouth and Simba, over 1,700 mattresses and pillows have been donated to young people across the EveryYouth network covering England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. By providing this, Simba is helping young people start a new chapter with greater stability and dignity.
Abbi David, Brand Lead at Simba, said:
“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with EveryYouth to their Project Flourish and to continue to support young people as they move into independent living. Creating a safe, comfortable space can have a powerful impact during such an important life transition, and we’re proud to contribute to that journey.”
Young people employed through Project Flourish can access tailored support, including money management advice from FinWELL, a Simba mattress when moving into independent living and financial support through the Hays Super Boost to help cover costs such as travel, work clothing, specialist equipment, and rent deposits.
The expansion of our partnership with Simba strengthens this holistic approach even further. Young people moving into their own home through Project Flourish will now receive a Simba mattress ensuring they have one of the most essential items needed to establish a safe and comfortable home. One of those young people is Rowan*.

After securing a job, Rowan was able to move into independent living with support from the Hays Super Boost. A key part of this transition was receiving a mattress through EveryYouth’s partnership with Simba, which helped him settle comfortably into his new flat at a crucial time. Rowan is especially grateful for this support, as it made a real difference when he moved into independent living and began building a stable future. With the right support in place, he successfully progressed in his job, passed his probation and continues to thrive in both work and independent living.
