Project Flourish has now reached the milestone moment of supporting 50 young people into roles.
EveryYouth’s Partnerships Developer, Haya, started working on Project Flourish part-time in January. She explains a bit more about the project and her role:
Project Flourish exists to help young people who are at risk of homelessness get into meaningful employment by providing comprehensive support and removing obstacles that they would’ve faced through typical recruitment processes. This includes providing every young person with a workplace mentor and a SuperBoost bursary of up to £2050 to help alleviate any financial obstacles while they settle into their new job and support them to move into independent living.
I have been a part of the Fundraising and Communications team at EveryYouth for over a year before joining Project Flourish. I now split my time between fundraising and supporting the daily runnings of Project Flourish. My new role revolves around day-to-day support of young people, whether it’s onboarding them onto our Learning Management System, connecting them with a financial coach to learn more about budgeting, or facilitating the disbursement of the bursary.
Working with young people has been genuinely rewarding. It’s been eye‑opening to see the challenges they face as they work towards building better lives, whether through education or finding stable, fulfilling employment. Knowing that I’ve played even a small part in supporting them on their journey toward independence and a brighter future truly means a lot to me.
Issy is just one of the people supported by Project Flourish to date. She began working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital in May 2025. Her first SuperBoost request was a good pair of shoes, knowing she’d be on her feet all shift. Issy is thriving in her role and has since moved into an award‑winning independent living scheme, offering 50% below‑market rent and supporting residents to focus on their careers while saving for future housing.

“She’s doing brilliantly and has slotted into the team very well. She is really great with patients and has just completed her Care Certificate and is quite rightly, very proud of herself.” – Issy’s line manager
50 young people is just the start for Project Flourish, and with stories like Issy’s spurring us on, we’re so excited to see what 2026 has in store.
